Masking policy updates
Following the end of the federal COVID-19 public health emergency, and with COVID-19 transmission rates in the counties we serve continuing to decline, additional updates have been made to the requirements for mask wearing throughout our hospitals.
As we have throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic has set and updated our masking policy in accordance with the latest health and safety guidelines from federal, state and local health departments. These changes are also consistent with masking policy updates from the Trinity Health System Office as well as other health systems in our region.
Effective June 5, masking will be optional for Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic colleagues, patients and visitors in all clinical and non-clinical areas, with the following exceptions:
- Masking will be required for any patient or colleague who has had close contact with someone who has suspected or confirmed COVID-19. Masking will be required for 10 days following the exposure.
- Masking will be required for any individual who has not been vaccinated for the flu during the flu season and until the flu season is over.
- Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic colleagues will continue to wear appropriate PPE when caring for patients who are designated droplet/airborne precautions.
As always, we support patients, visitors and colleagues who choose to mask and ask everyone to be respectful of those choices. Thank you for your continued commitment to the health and safety of our patients, visitors and fellow colleagues.
Schedule your appointment
We are here for you and are committed to keeping you safe while you get the medical care you need. To schedule your surgery, procedure or physician visit, please contact your physician/provider’s office.
We also offer telehealth services for select primary and specialty care services (routine check-ups and non-urgent care). Telehealth is virtual health care, allowing you to receive the same care you would get in an in-person clinic visit from the comfort of your home.
