Nazareth Medical Education Program
A Message from Charmaine Chan, DO
Designated Institutional Official and Chair of Graduate Medical Education Committee
Welcome! In 2015, Nazareth Hospital formed a Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) to explore two initiatives: offering rotations for medical students and building ACGME-accredited residency programs. Nazareth Hospital received ACGME accreditation for Internal Medicine Residency and Transitional Year Residency in 2016 and 2018 respectively. We also received accreditation from the Council on Podiatry Medical Education for our Podiatry Residency and American College of Clinical Pharmacy for our Pharmacy Program for our Pharmacy Residency in 2016.
Nazareth Hospital has in place a dedicated, high-quality and enthusiastic faculty that will provide clinical training for medical students and future residents in a family environment. Under the guidance of our experienced faculty, medical students and residents will learn the latest in medical treatments, train on the most sophisticated medical technology, and participate in a wide array of academic experiences.
With our serious commitment to training the next generation of medical providers, Nazareth Hospital offers students from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and Drexel University rotations in their core curriculum. As we continue to build the Graduate Medical Education (GME) program at Nazareth Hospital, please be sure to check back on this website for future updates regarding our progress. If you are a medical student interested in rotating with us, please view current list of rotations offered and other information regarding our programs.
Looking forward to meeting you and you come join our Nazareth family!
