I’m from the greater Philadelphia area and was raised here my whole life. My origins are natively from Pakistan and our family moved to this country about 50 years ago.

One of the main reasons I chose Nazareth hospital is because I am familiar with the surrounding community and many of the struggles that our local community endures. Having had several friends and family members who have previously been involved with Nazareth, I feel like I am ‘coming home’ in many ways as I begin to look forward to my journey of being part of this community and offering whatever services I can, in my capacity, to help those in need.

What I do look forward to in residency is really getting to learn more of the fundamentals of medicine and trying to gain as much knowledge and skills as I can to be able to better understand and treat people who are sick and in need.

There is no feeling like being able to give back to your local community and to help those who once helped you and, for this reason, I am very excited to be part of the Nazareth healthcare system and look forward to making a positive change on the community and the world at large!

Medical School: Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine
Hobbies/Interests: PC gaming, powerlifting and various other sports, exploring new places, philosophy, and religion

I am originally from Houston, Texas, and after graduating from undergrad at Texas A&M University, I moved to Philadelphia with my wife while I attended graduate school at Drexel University before medical school. I fell in love with Philadelphia and am privileged to work here at Nazareth. The diversity of patients, wide range of pathologies, and access to so many experts in the field make it an amazing place to train and learn how to best serve our patients. There’s also a ton of things to do in a city like this, and I really enjoy trying to fill my spare time with exploring all that Philly has to offer.

I am originally from Massachusetts and have been living in Philadelphia since college. I have been working with the Philadelphia community through clinical rotations in medical school, community service, and now during my transitional year at Nazareth. I am excited to continue living in this area—there is still so much to explore. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends and trying new restaurants.

Olufela Koleoso, DO

Medical School: PCOM

I was born and raised in the northwest area of Houston, Tx, near Spring. I attended Pomona College in Claremont, Calif., where I completed a BA in Neuroscience. There, I was motivated to gain a worldview, so I spent five months studying ecology in Ecuador where I gained intermediate Spanish fluency. I had always known that medicine was my end goal. However, I felt a deep need to broaden my medical knowledge and research skills, so I moved to Philadelphia and enrolled at Drexel University College of Medicine and completed a Master’s in medical sciences. My passion for research has enabled me to generate several publications and presentations as a result. Additionally, I am passionate about volunteering and have done so at the Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia but also abroad through a number of service trips in Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Outside of academics I enjoy exercise, traveling, comedy shows, reading sci-fi, playing video games, going to the movies, and spending time with my wife and dog.
