Resident Wellbeing at Nazareth
Nazareth’s Graduate Medical Education department believes strongly that personal wellness and instilling a culture of caring for each other helps the hospital provide high quality care for our patients.
Our mission is to promote a healthy work-life balance, encourage peer support, and provide a safe environment for residents to express personal or professional concerns. We have incorporated wellness didactics into our curriculum to provide longitudinal support during the three years of training.
Nazareth’s Wellness Committee provides resources to help cope with the challenges of residency. These challenges include physician burnout, job stress, interpersonal relationship issues, and mental health concerns. Mentorship is provided in all programs for trainees to help with professional and personal growth.
