No. Positions are only offered through the National Resident Matching Program.
No. We prefer that your recommendations be submitted by faculty members of your school who are well acquainted with you and your medical education experience. If you are an international medical graduate, it is preferred that at least one letter of recommendation be from a faculty member of an American teaching facility.
It is strongly preferred applicants have graduated from medical school within the past 3 years.
If you are in good academic standing, are able to keep within ACGME maximum hours allowed to work, and with the approval of the program director you are permitted to moonlight during your residency at Nazareth Hospital.
All applications are reviewed through ERAS, and applicants are invited through ERAS. Applicants are discouraged from calling the program coordinators. Individual status updates will not be given via email or telephone.
Yes, we accept both USMLE and COMLEX scores for all of our programs.
Keeping in mind that the application process is very competitive, graduates of international medical colleges may submit an application. These applications must be submitted through the ERAS system and are processed using the same procedures used to evaluate all other applicants. Nazareth Hospital only sponsors J-1 Visas. We currently do not sponsor H1B visas or any other types of non-J-1 visas.
Under the discretion of each program’sprogram director and if residents are in good standing, residents may be allowed to complete outside electives.
Yes, observership is determined on a case by case basis with the help of the faculty and program directors of the specialty involved.
