Nazareth Hospital takes pride in our accredited ACGME program with osteopathic recognition in Internal Medicine. Nazareth Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is located in the busy Northeast section of Philadelphia on the corner of Roosevelt Boulevard and Holme Avenue. It is 20 minutes north of Center City Philadelphia. It is also only several hours away from New York City, the New Jersey Shore, the Baltimore Harbor and Washington D.C. At this strategic location, Nazareth Hospital serves both urban and suburban populations.

Nazareth Hospital’s 205 acute and 28 skilled beds accommodate over 8,000 admissions yearly. The Emergency Department serves over 51,000 patients each year. Acute rehabilitation, transitional care and hospice services are also located on the premises. A 29,000 square-foot ambulatory care center is located adjacent to the hospital and is connected by a short breezeway. Nazareth serves a diverse population of all ages with varied economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds. This guarantees trainees exposure to a wide range of health issues.

Following a robust training program, graduate physicians will be well qualified to enter successful careers in the practice of Internal Medicine. Dedicated Nazareth Hospital faculty from a number of leading universities will help applicants meet the current vigorous demands of a competitive residency program. Residents will have many opportunities to engage in supervised patient care covering a large spectrum of disease processes while being mentored on interpersonal and communication skills. These experiences will help residents develop a strong, functional base of medical knowledge.

Residents will also be continually monitored for practice-based learning and professionalism. The faculty will take a team approach at correcting any resident with critical deficiencies to help guarantee their success in the program. The program is designed to optimize patient safety with good supervision to administer the highest quality of care in a professional manner. All residents will be given opportunities to engage in scholarly activities. Policies are in place to assure smooth care transitions and help avoid duty hours that would lead to fatigue and burnout.

We hope you will want to learn more about our program, by calling or visiting.

Sincerely,
