Message from the Program Director
Welcome to Nazareth Hospital’s Emergency Medicine Residency Program! I am so excited to continue this journey as an up and coming emergency residency program in Philadelphia. Thank you for taking time to learn more about our program. We are an ACGME accredited program and will be taking our third class this year!
Our mission is to train clinically outstanding physicians while simultaneously fostering their communication and leadership skills to develop well-rounded physicians who will thrive in any environment.
Being a relatively new program, we are looking for residents who are excited to help us shape and develop the program while getting excellent training. Our residents have ingrained themselves into the fabric of the program. They’ve been fundamental in helping us grow and building up the program to be a premiere place to train. The core faculty and I have been tremendously responsive to feedback and the residents have already made large strides in improving their own education. We expect our residents to work hard while maintaining work life balance and keep burn out at bay.
We have an extensive network of support from the leadership, attendings, residents and ancillary staff and are able to give individualized attention to all of our residents.
A successful Nazareth EM resident will have a sense of adventure, be hardworking, compassionate and strive to be the best version of themselves both at Nazareth and beyond.
