    • No. We remain an affiliate of Drexel University and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine
    • The name of the residency will not change
    • We will remain a part of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic
  2. How will this affect training, electives, outside electives, research opportunities and didactics?
    • Training will remain largely the same
    • Electives will remain at MFC
    • Outside electives are determined on a case-by-case basis
    • Research opportunities will remain largely the same, however opportunities to collaborate on research may be possible
    • Didactics are expected to remain largely the same
  3. How far apart are the campuses?
    • The campuses are 3.2 miles apart. There is no direct public transportation link between campuses
  4. How much time can residents expect to spend at HUP at Cedar and which rotations will be there?
    • Residents can expect to spend about 20% of their time at HUP at Cedar
    • Floors, night float, AOD
  5. How will this affect the Transitional Year Residency Program?
    • TYR residents will spend a portion of their time on days and/or nights at HUP at Cedar
  6. Will there be other internal medicine residents at HUP at Cedar?
    • At this time there are no plans for other internal medicine residents at HUP at Cedar
  7. Will this affect the evaluation process?
    • No. The evaluation process will remain the same
  8. What are the positive impacts to residents of this change?
    • Residents have the opportunity to be taught by Penn faculty
    • Residents can strengthen their fellowship applications by having a diverse faculty write LOR’s
  9. Will there be a formal mentorship program with Penn?
    • While training on rotations at HUP at Cedar, there will be inherent mentorship. However, our formal mentor program will not change, and all MCMC residents will be mentored by MCMC faculty leadership
