Resident Wellbeing at St. Mary

medical residents

St. Mary Medical Center’s Graduate Medical Education department strongly supports resident wellness and education, which has a major impact on future performance and career development.

Wellness committee established last year works closely with residents and program leadership to encourage work life balance and provide a comfortable environment for residents to express concerns. Wellness didactics have been included in monthly noon conferences to provide continuous teaching and training during the three year of residency. The goal of Wellness Committee is to help cope with challenges during residency including burnout, interpersonal relationship issues, and mental health concerns. Mentorship is provided to all trainees to enhance their professional and personal growth.
