Our goal is to take what you have learned in the classroom and apply it to the bedside. We have developed a curriculum that is seamlessly integrated into your training to minimize any disruptions or make you feel that you need to do extra work. Over the last several years, we have been taking what our past residents have said and have improved on our education. We are always looking to improve on your education.

We have a dedicated Osteopathic faculty and have full support of our non-osteopathic faculty and encourage the appropriate use of Osteopathic Manipulative Techniques and Osteopathic principles both in the in-patient and out-patient settings.
All Osteopathic residents get access to the National Center for Osteopathic Principles and Practice Education website where they can review techniques, watch lectures, and participate in live scholarly activity. Each resident will also have access to the online library at A.T. Still University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

We have a dedicated monthly Osteopathic noon conference where we discuss the application of Osteopathic Manipulation Techniques in the real world, afterward we practice those same techniques while having the opportunity to mentor Osteopathic medical students and teach non-Osteopathic residents on them.

We have developed rounds specifically dedicated to performing OMT in the in-patient setting. Our Osteopathic Principles and Practice with OMT rounds meet bi-monthly and is led by one of our Osteopathic Core Faculty. During these rounds, residents and students perform OMT at the bedside and then discuss the treatment that was provided as well as appropriate documentation, and billing. We presented these rounds at the AACOM Educating Leaders Conference, and it is being duplicated at other programs.
