Spiritual Care at Saint Francis
Saint Francis Hospital chaplains offer compassionate pastoral presence and counseling to patients, families and employees who are experiencing stress, suffering or other spiritual and emotional needs. Chaplains can facilitate connections with a patient’s own minister, pastor or imam. In addition, we are blessed to have a team of Catholic deacons who assist in the spiritual care for our community. Holy Communion is distributed daily by chaplains or volunteer Eucharistic ministers.
Prayer Experience
- A morning and evening prayer is broadcasted each morning and evening over the public address system.
- Prayer, meditation and guided meditation opportunities are available upon request.
- Other prayer services are planned regularly throughout the year.
Chapel Services
- A chapel is located on the fifth floor of the Clayton building of the hospital and is open at all times for prayer and reflection.
- There is also an interfaith reflection room available on the sixth floor of the DuPont Building.
- Patients can view all services via the in-room television service.
