Spiritual Care at Nazareth Hospital

Chaplains are available to persons of any or no spiritual or faith tradition to offer spiritual support to you, your family, and colleagues, such as listening, prayer, counseling, sacraments and other religious needs. Nazareth Hospital chaplains, as members of the healthcare team, are professionally and theologically trained to provide compassionate pastoral care in a healthcare setting. Your chaplain will be sensitive and respectful to your particular spiritual needs. A chaplain is also available to contact a patient’s minister, rabbi or priest at the patient's request. Communion for Roman Catholic patients and challah and Sabbath kits for Jewish patients are offered regularly. Ministers from all denominations are welcome and encouraged to visit with their congregational members. It is our hope that spiritual support will contribute to your health and make your stay at Nazareth Hospital more peace-filled.

Prayer Experience

The Meditation Room, located on the second floor across from the entrance to the cafeteria, is available for prayer, meditation, yoga, aromatherapy, and relaxation.
