Pulmonary Rehab

The Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic pulmonary Rrehabilitation program is a medically supervised outpatient service for people living with chronic lung disease. This program is designed to help you take control of your breathing problems and live life to the fullest.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation is a program of exercise therapy, patient education, and breathing retraining. Under the supervision of a board certified pulmonologist, our team of health specialists designs a customized plan of care to meet the individual needs and capabilities of each participant.

Eligibility for the program is determined by the following:

  • Pulmonary function tests
  • Chest X-ray or CT scan
  • EKG

Once determined a patient qualifies for the program, an initial review will be conducted to develop goals specific to the patient. A six-minute walk test is performed before a physician approved medically supervised exercise program is developed.

Contact your health insurance provider for specific details of coverage related to your policy. Acceptance is based on the following:

  • Physician referral
  • Diagnosis of lung disease
  • Evaluation and screening
