Saint Francis Hospital CHNAs
The Affordable Care Act invites healthcare organizations to make a direct and specific contribution to improving public health by conducting a triennial community health needs assessment, and building a plan to meet local community health needs. The Affordable Care Act also requires healthcare organizations to complete and report certain specific financial information relating to the charity programs which serve the community. Saint Francis is pleased to participate in this process and to be an essential contributor to community health in the city of Wilmington, across New Castle County and throughout the state of Delaware.
Saint Francis Community Health Needs Assessment
In keeping with the mission of Saint Francis Hospital to be a transforming, healing presence, and the standards established by Trinity Health for the process of studying community health needs, Saint Francis has spent the last year in methodically engaging with community partners and healthcare leaders to better understand the role our organization can play in improving community health. This process has included a careful review of demographic information and health statistics available from the state of Delaware, and other local and federal sources.
