Chest pain can be the first indication that you are having a heart attack. You should never ignore chest pain that comes on unexpectedly; chest pain that may come and go from time to time; or unusual pressure, squeezing, or discomfort in your chest.

Know the Symptoms of a Heart Attack
Men and women have very different feelings and experiences when a heart attack occurs.
Men typically experience:
- Moderate to severe chest pain
- Dizziness
- Shortness of breath
- Nausea
- Radiating pain in the arms and chest
Women may have different symptoms:
- Chest pain or pain in the back, arm, neck, shoulder and/or throat.
- “Non-pain” such as vomiting, nausea, fatigue and shortness of breath
Do not ignore the warning signs of a Heart Attack. If you or someone you know is experiencing any of the above symptoms, immediately call 9-1-1.
