Nathaniel HolzmanDid you know that various plastic surgery procedures can help improve physical health? For example, a breast reduction can help posture and eliminate back problems. For 12 years, Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic chief of plastic and reconstructive Nathaniel Holzman, MD, FACS, has been motivated by his specialty’s ability to blend artistry and science in a way that profoundly impacts patients’ lives.

Dr. Holzman was first inspired to enter the field by witnessing many of his mentors renew and restore appearance and confidence through surgery. This also fueled his passion for helping others and is a big part of the reason why he enjoys working for Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic (THMA).

“My favorite thing about working for THMA is the opportunity to make a meaningful difference not only in the lives of our patients but also to be able to achieve this goal in the community where I live,” Dr. Holzman says. “I value the collaborative environment of our highly trained and skilled medical staff where everyone is dedicated to delivering the best quality care and patient experience.”

Dr. Holzman continues to be excited by this ever-changing field. Evolving technology allows him to better individualize treatments and aesthetic approaches to refine and optimize patient results and outcomes.

“The future of plastic surgery lies in the technological advancements for more precise and enhanced outcomes with less-invasive procedures,” Dr. Holzman says. “3D printing, improved tissue regeneration and virtual reality simulation will continue to revolutionize our field.”
