Updated Visiting Guidelines
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, St. Mary Rehabilitation Hospital implemented necessary visitor precautions to ensure the health and safety of our patients, visitors, and colleagues. We are now permitting limited visitation for inpatients beginning on March 9, 2021. Our patients are permitted one healthy visitor each day during the hours of 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. Patients with an immunocompromised condition may have visitor restrictions. Visiting guidelines may be changed at any time in response to current conditions.

Requirements
- Visitors must be 18 years and older.
- Visitors will be screened for symptoms. Visitors with symptoms are not permitted to enter our facilities. Visitors who have had a COVID-19 diagnosis in the last 14 days are not permitted to enter (symptomatic or asymptomatic).
- Visitors are required to wear approved face masks at all times and to practice frequent hand hygiene throughout the visit.
- Visitors must practice physical/social distancing with patients.
Hours and Process
- Visitation can occur between the hours of 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.
- Visitors will receive a badge to wear when they are screened at entry and must ensure the badge is visible during their entire visit.
- The screened designated visitor must check-in with the nurses’ station when entering the unit and will be directed to the patient’s room.
- The visitor must remain in the patient’s room and not visit common areas such as the cafeteria or gyms, unless invited to the therapy gym to participate in caregiver training.
- If needed, designated visitors will utilize the private bathroom in the patient’s room.
- Visitors are not permitted to occupy common space such as waiting areas or lobbies.
- The healthcare team has the discretion to amend visitation guidelines for special circumstances.
Exclusions
- Immunocompromised patients cannot receive visitors at this time.
- Patients who are confirmed or suspected COVID-positive may not have a daily designated visitor, unless approved by the healthcare team.
