About Our Specialty Units

St. Mary Rehabilitation Hospital features two specialty units designed to provide an optimal healing environment for patients that have had a stroke or other neurological condition.

Our Stroke Recovery Unit is dedicated to the treatment of individuals who have suffered a stroke. Our specialized interdisciplinary Stroke Treatment team offers expertise in medical, functional, cognitive as well as behavioral rehabilitation with the goal of returning each individual home at their highest level of function possible. Each patient has a program tailored to their individual needs.

Our Secure Neuro Recovery Unit offers a self-contained area focused on enhancing the recovery of patients with mild to severe brain injury. This highly specialized unit allows patients with behavioral, cognitive and functional deficits to recover in a safe and structured environment. This area provides a lower level of stimulation for the patient which allows for a more comfortable and focused treatment interaction for the patient.
