U.S. News & World Report names Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic hospitals among best in region for 2023-24
August 8, 2023Newtown Square, Pa. – (August 4, 2023) – Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is pleased to announce that it has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report—the global authority in hospital rankings and consumer advice—as high performing for numerous procedures and conditions, with one hospital making the prestigious “Best Hospitals” list.
The annual Best Hospitals rankings and ratings, now in their 34th year, are designed to assist patients and their doctors in making informed decisions about where to receive quality care for challenging health conditions or elective procedures.
St. Mary Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic located in Langhorne, Pa., has been recognized as a 2023-2024 Best Hospital. U.S. News also recognized St. Mary, along with fellow Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic member Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, Pa., as 2023-2024 High Performing hospitals for the following procedures and conditions. This is the highest award a hospital can earn for U.S. News’ Best Hospitals Procedures & Conditions ratings.

For the 2023-2024 Best Hospitals rankings and ratings, U.S. News evaluated more than 4,500 hospitals across 15 specialties and 21 procedures and conditions; only 12% of evaluated hospitals earned a Best Hospitals ranking. Hospitals awarded a “Best” designation excelled at factors such as clinical outcomes, level of nursing care and patient experience.
