Marlow LevyNewtown Square, PA. — (August 20, 2024) —Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital and Saint Francis Hospital, members of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, are pleased to welcome Marlow Levy, RN, MBA, FACHE, as president.

Levy joins Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic from Baptist Health System in Jacksonville, Fla., where he served as vice president of operations and system leader for laboratory, environmental health, and protective services. He brings a wealth of experience to Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic after serving in numerous high-profile roles in health systems across the country, including the Mayo Clinic, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Sentara Health and Kaiser Permanente.

“After a nationwide search, we are excited to welcome Marlow to his new role,” says James Woodward, president and CEO of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic. “His clinical acumen and focus on mission and caring for the underserved makes him the ideal candidate to assume the role of president at Saint Francis and Mercy Fitzgerald Hospitals.”

A veteran of the United States Navy, Levy obtained his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Hampton University in Hampton, Va., a Master of Science in Management from the Naval Postgraduate School of Business and Public Policy in Monterey, Ca., as well as a Master of Business Administration from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

“As I step into this role, I am reminded that leadership is not about being in charge but about taking care of those in your charge,” Levy says. “I am honored and humbled to join the team at Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic. And I look forward to serving the incredible communities around Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital and Saint Francis Hospital.”

Giving back to local communities is in Levy’s nature. Over the course of his career, he has volunteered for numerous organizations—including serving as a mentor and volunteer speaker for 5000 Role Models, an organization that aims to intervene in the lives of minority male youth to empower them to make good choices and achieve goals.

“The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members, including the organizations that serve it,” Levy adds. “I am committed to continuing my journey of service and making a positive impact in Delaware and the Greater Philadelphia-area.”

In addition to his volunteer work at 5000 Role Models, Levy is an active volunteer, board member, and advocate for numerous organizations—including Habitat for Humanity and the American Heart Association—and loves to partner with smaller non-profits like “Bridge the Gap” – Community Garden, where he can make meaningful impacts on his local community.

Levy will assume his new role at Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic on September 4, 2024. He will be relocating to the area from Jacksonville, Fla., with his family, who all look forward to immersing themselves in the local community.
