St. Mary Medical Center receives $1M Gift from Bristol Myer Squibb Foundation

Langhorne, Pa. – (December 13, 2022) – St. Mary Medical Center is pleased to announce that it has received a gift of $1,000,000 from the Bristol Myers Squibb Foundation (BMSF), an independent charitable organization, to support major equipment and software upgrades to the cardiac catheterization labs in the St. Mary Heart and Vascular Center. This gift is the single largest corporate donation to date to St. Mary Medical Center’s Heart and Vascular Center Campaign.

The planned upgrades to the St. Mary Heart and Vascular Center will ensure that its cardiovascular patients continue to receive an enhanced patient experience and the best post-operative outcomes possible.

Thanks to the BMSF gift, the St. Mary Heart and Vascular Center will be enabled to acquire new tools to achieve better visualization of anatomical structures, reduced radiation emissions, and seamless integration of software within the cardiac catheterization labs.

Performing the most cardiovascular procedures in Bucks County, the St. Mary Heart and Vascular Center provides care to more than 20,300 patients annually, including diagnosis and treatment of atrial fibrillation, angina, arrhythmia, heart failure, heart valve disorders, structural heart disease, vascular disease, and vein conditions.

St. Mary was the first hospital in Bucks County to successfully implant regular stents, drug-coated stents, and bio-absorbable stents and is nationally recognized as a center for excellence.
