Do you live near the Eastwick neighborhood of Philadelphia? If so, more doctors are ready to see you closer to your home.
The medical office building that includes Primary Care Eastwick underwent a major expansion project in 2022. The result was 15 new exam rooms. Along with that new space, the clinic is hiring more primary care providers. They can offer you checkups and other preventive care to help keep you healthy and feeling your best.
On top of that, specialists from Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital will visit Eastwick on a rotating basis to provide the following services:
- Cardiology
- Endocrinology
- Gastroenterology
- Orthopedics
- Gynecology
- Urology
You might even be able to see your regular provider and a specialist in one visit.
In addition to primary care, general and bariatric surgery consults continue to be offered, as well as physical therapy services. For a surgery consult, call Mercy Surgical Associates at 888.994.8353.
“We wanted to be able to address the needs of people in West Philadelphia who were affected by the closure of Mercy Philadelphia Hospital,” explains Geralyn Paterson, director of Physician Practice Operations at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital. “We want to make it easy for our patients to get the care they need. This will improve access to services and help address health care disparities.”
Eastwick will begin with women’s health and cardiology in early 2023. The other specialty services will start in the months to follow. The hope is to have all of the services available by the summer of 2023, Paterson says.
In the meantime, you can find all of the specialty care that will soon be at Eastwick at the nearby Mercy Fitzgerald campus in Darby.
