Masks are still critical to stop the spread of COVID-19. When you leave your home, wear a mask.

From grocery stores to the office, you should wear a mask when in public or in areas where it’s difficult to maintain social distance. Protect yourself and others against COVID-19 and wear your mask.

Wearing a mask helps prevent your respiratory droplets from traveling to other people AND it protects you against respiratory droplets from others.

Physical Distancing

Crowded spaces are breeding grounds for the spread of germs and infectious diseases like COVID-19. Luckily, reducing your risk of infection is as simple as physically distancing yourself from others by staying at least 6 feet apart. 

We know how important meaningful social interaction is, especially while living through constant stress and upheaval. Hugs and handshakes are tempting but physically distancing yourself from others can keep you and your loved ones safe. 

Whether you're at work, shopping for groceries, or picking up take-out, it's important to maintain physical distance between yourself and others. As positive cases rise in our community, physical distancing is more important than ever.

Handwashing

In addition to masking and physical distancing, handwashing is one of the simplest and most effective ways to keep ourselves, our families and our communities safe. Handwashing is also important for maintaining overall health and hygiene.

Wash your hands with soap and water, or use hand sanitizer, after all activities. For example:

  • Went to the bathroom? Wash your hands.
  • Touched your face mask? Wash your hands.
  • Blew your nose? Wash your hands.
  • Touched a grocery cart? Wash your hands.
  • Picked up take-out? Wash your hands.
  • Visited the doctor? Wash your hands.
