Seeing a primary care provider (PCP) is one of the best things you can do to stay in good health.
A PCP is a doctor or other health care provider who sees you for checkups and other routine care. Your PCP will get to know you and your health history, offer preventive care options and look for early signs of health problems. Your PCP may refer you to other specialists, as needed.

Meet Jaime Zambrotta, MD
St. Mary Medical Center’s newest primary care provider—internal medicine physician Jaime Zambrotta, MD—is a third-generation doctor and former hospital specialist.
“Medicine is in my blood,” she says. “It just always spoke to me and defined who I am. I love getting to know my patients and being involved in their wellness. That patient relationship is important to me.”
Dr. Zambrotta loved math and science from an early age. She followed in the footsteps of her father (a cardiologist) and grandfather (a retired internal medicine doctor).
Dr. Zambrotta finished both her medical degree and residency at Temple University School of Medicine. She joined St. Mary in 2011 as a hospitalist and switched to primary care in November 2022. She sees patients at St. Mary Medical Arts Internal Medicine.
When she’s not seeing patients, Dr. Zambrotta enjoys spending time with her three children, reading, being outdoors and going to arts events.
