The shoulder joint is comprised of a ball and socket between the humerus and scapula bones. The shoulder connects the upper limb to the trunk and is also one of the most mobile joints in the body. Proper functioning of the shoulder is essential to proper use of the upper limb for activities involving the elbow, wrist and hand.
